I started a new bathroom remodel this week. This remodeling project definitely presents some unique challenges. The main objective is to remove the existing fiberglass bathtub and replace it with a 42 inch shower pan. In the remaining 18 inches I will be building a tile shower seat. The seat itself will be a solid peice of corian, and the shower walls will be tiled with white 3x6 inch subway tile. The shower faucet will also be very unique. Besides the main shower head, it has a hand-held shower unit that will be installed next to the tile seat. There will be a chrome "L" shaped grab bar that the hand-held shower will mount on. The floor will also be tiled with 18 inch porcelain tiles with a marble look. And last, but not least, I will be installing a new vanity and matching storage cabinet.
